No fix, no fee. 30-minute live session with a written report. If STS can't resolve your fault remotely, you pay nothing.
If the fault is remediable remotely (settings, configuration, firmware), the typical fix charge is from £75. Only if we fix it.
Minimum visit fee — applies to all on-site repairs. Parts quoted separately. Always quoted in writing before we attend.
Engineer-led video call. We work through your system together, in real time. You see what we see, ask questions as we go.
We pull and analyse generation data, fault history, alarms, settings, and firmware. Most of what we need is in your portal or app.
Not a guess — a confirmed diagnosis. We tell you exactly what's wrong, why it happened, and what fixes it.
Emailed after the session. Confirms the fault, the recommended fix, indicative cost (if any), and any DIY steps you can take.
If we can't fix your fault remotely, we say so. If you can fix it yourself in five minutes, we tell you how — free of charge.
You're under no pressure to book a fix. You can take the diagnosis and act on it yourself, or take it to another engineer if you'd rather.
How it works — 5 steps
Tell us your name, contact details, inverter brand if you know it, and a brief description of the symptoms. Two minutes.
Within four business hours — usually within one. We confirm the diagnostic is appropriate for your case and book a 30-minute session at a time that suits you.
Video call from your sofa. We log into your system data, run the fault-finding sequence, and identify the cause. You see what we see throughout.
One of: (a) we fix it during the call — you pay the remote fix charge from £75; (b) DIY-fixable — we tell you how, free; (c) needs on-site — quoted in writing before we attend; (d) out-of-scope — we direct you to the right place, free.
Emailed within 24 hours. Confirms the fault, the action taken (or recommended), and any costs. Yours to keep regardless of outcome.
